The Place

The factory site here is built over the original line of the canal and the buildings will need to be demolished so that the canal can be rebuilt.

The large red brick house was once the home of Edwin Clark, boatbuilder and owner of Abdela and Mitchell. Boats built here were often exported and the larger ones were built in sections and floated down the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.
